Introduction

International immigration flows have accelerated in the last fifteen years and all indications are that this trend will increase. Although, at all times, man has experienced large migratory movements, always with the same premise, seeking better living conditions. The majority of people migrate today due to poverty the Third World, and they are attracted by the wealth of industrial societies.

In Article 13.2 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights is enshrined the right to immigrate based on freedom of every person to leave any country, including his own. But against this law, there is no reciprocal obligation of hospitality. This means that freedom of migration does not mean it that a foreigner has the right to go where you feel like, but where you are accepted. There are many issues faced by the host government, as well as, migrating people, due to increasing growth in global migration. This essay will highlight issues faced by people (immigrants), in context of global immigration (Borjas & Hilton, pp.12).

Unsupportive Policies

Currently, the United States have strengthened its state security policies, involving a threat to the human rights of immigrants, including legal immigrants. Due to poor immigration laws and situation, number of people has decide migrate to another country, maybe this is related to the search of improved living standards, as a result of uncompetitive government of ensure social welfare, of course it is the duty of government of United States to ensure safety and welfare of immigrants, including employment. The result of travel to other countries is search of respect, and opportunities. These aspects are not only current processes, but these, have been building through the decades, with a poor distribution of wealth and of course the complex government policies that impede movement of people to USA. The violation of human rights includes concepts such as discrimination, racism, domestic violence to women and xenophobia (McLoyd, pp.61).

Immigrants face a multitude of problems derived primarily from their migrant status in the United States, therefore they suffer discrimination and stay within reach places set is difficult and bleak as it does not have any government support to ensure their rights and be aware of their needs.
