Global Warming

Introduction

A stable climate has been foundational to the health and development of human civilizations. It has helped determine where we settle and invest in the creation of human societies. Key determining characteristics of a particular area's climate are average temperature and rainfall patterns over thirty years or more. These combine with physical characteristics to compose the climate for a particular place.

In general, the climate, soil, landform (topography), and latitude of a specific location determines what type of plant life will grow there, and that determines the animal life. The interrelationships between plant and animal life and their surrounding environment make up the ecosystem of an area. Thus, climate is a key defining characteristic of what lives in a particular place and the type of ecosystem exists on the landscape. There would have been numerous benefits to the world if there was no global warming. Climatic conditions would have been sustainable and it had positive impact on the agriculture with farmers all around the world would have benefited with better climatic situation that would aid in the development of the agriculture sector. Other than that life would have been very pleasant as there would have been a stable climatic condition making the day time and the night time comfortable for the people of the world.

Our Earth is home to many beautiful plants and animals. It is just the right temperature for these living things to grow and live. However, over the last hundred years, Earth's average temperature has begun to rise. This change is called “Global Warming”. Scientists believe global warming is causing problems, such as larger, more powerful storms, rising water in our oceans and extreme weathers. Certain plants and animals may be dying because of global warming. Most scientists believe people and the way they live are the leading cause of global warming. The misuse of technological advancements such as nuclear technology is also one of the main reasons behind global warming.

Luckily, there are numerous things we can do to help slow down global warming. The problem of Global warming and environmental pollution can be controlled by the adoption of Micro-Grids. This technology is used to assure the environmental friendly operations and reduction in emissions/environmental warming.

Discussions

Global warming primarily caused by increases in “greenhouse” gases such as Carbon Dioxide (CO2), Nitrous oxide (NOX), Sulphur dioxide (SO2), Hydrogen etc... A warming planet thus leads to climate changes which can adversely affect weather in different ways. Some of the prominent indicators for a global warming are temperature over land, snow cover on Hills, glaciers on Hills, ocean heat content, sea ice, sea level, and sea surface temperature

Causes and Effects of Global Warming

The globe is getting warmer and scientists have already explained the climatic changes occurring in several researches and reports. Global warming entails both positive and negative factors whereas most reports indicate global warming as being solely negative. Again there are areas; towards the poles; that will gain hugely from global warming as there are also ...
