Guns should be Banned from being Carried

Introduction

The main and the only purpose of guns is to kill. It does not matter how we perceive the carrying of a gun, the main point is that we have absolutely no reason to fight evil with some more evil. We can always find alternative solutions that might seem to be harder and slower, but when we look at the bigger picture, we realize that it is more rewarding, stronger and justified than just simply destruction and killing. We need to make better efforts to improve the society so then we don't need to resort to such self destructive methods. In order to promote peace, we need to ban the carrying of guns in public.

Discussion

Carrying guns is simply dangerous, not only for you but also for your family, friends and everybody else around you. There are a number of people who would readily oppose such a ban by saying that having ownership of guns is a requirement for your safety if you want to protect your property and yourself. They believe that guns are necessary and act as a self defence if the law enforcement agencies or other people fail to provide protection to the public. There are a number of stories regarding accidental shootings and deaths at home. On the 20th of March in the year 2011, in Baltimore, a four year old boy accidentally shot himself in the face and later on died from that shot. Another similar story is about a two year old boy in Cherokee County who, on the 14th of Feb, 2011, used a stoll to get a gun case at his home. He then opened that case and took out the small calibre semi automatic gun which had a loaded magazine, and accidentally shot himself in the upper chest. Another example is of a five year old boy in Pittsburgh who, on the 20th of January, 2011 went to the bedroom closet of his parents, climbed a chair and took out his father's duty weapon, who was a part time police officer. He then accidentally shot himself in the head. These are just few of the many stories regarding the ...
