According to the book Health Psychology, stress can be defined as the reaction of body towards a change. It can affect the body and mind such as people experiencing stress feel tired, sick and lack of concentration and even experience psychological issues in terms of breakdowns. The two stress factors have been identified in the book; physical and psychological. The physical factor involves the bodily challenges while psychological factor involves the affects of stress on the person's psychology.

The stress is very common among university students. It causes a number of health consequences. 84% Students of UBC experience a high level of stress during their examinations as they have a high pressure of their studies on them. According to 45% students of UBC reported that stress reaches a maximum when they get lower marks or fail courses. The sources of stress among UBC students are tough studies and attainment of good marks. It has been found that increased stress leads towards lower cognitive and concentration levels. According to 65% of UBC students that the main cause of getting lower marks in the examination is due to lack of sleep which leads to poor performance in exams.

There is no such high level of stress found on normal university population because the UBC has the different criteria and much high education standards than other universities, so students studying here face much issues related to stress.

Employees are the asset of any company and keeping their morale up is the key responsibility of the administration. Workplace wellness is the health promotion activity in a workplace which is specially designed to support healthy behavior and to boost up the employee morale. The health care program for a small company can be the convenience of health screening facility to every employee and keep the record of individual employee's wellness profile.

The program may also include the stress management session, knowledge about health, programs to stop smoking and control weight. Company can also hold the healthy lunch and meals for the employees. Wellness program newsletters can also be disseminated in the company. Company can also establish a separate smoking area to prevent the whole setting from the adverse effects of smoke. Providing employees with the health care facilities keep their morale up, and they become more loyal and dedicated towards their job.

There are a number of personal characteristics that contribute to wellness of health. If I were a parent, I would seek the following characteristics such as cognitive and language abilities, social interaction, and well-off behavior.

These are some personal characteristics that contribute in developing a positive health concerns both mentally and physically. Social development helps in forming and maintaining intimate relationships, cognitive abilities improves creative thinking, language abilities helps in communicating ideas and feelings with other people and well-off behavior ensures the socially accepted behavior that is mainly based on rules.
