Discussion
Individual Behaviour theory
This is one of the most widely cited and applied behavioural theory. This is considered as one of the most closely and inters related theory that adopts the cognitive approach to explain behaviour of individual and their beliefs (Hogg, 1999). According to (Mason & Butler , 2010) The major objective is to create positive outcome among individual that results changes in perception of patient. Past studies found that there is the strong correlation between behaviour and attitude.
Gaps
There is a lack of clinical engagement that we have observed as the poor performance of the NHS pilots. Attendance in hospitals for consultant training is just around 30% (Ewles, 2005). One of the major reasons for NHS failure is not to invest in training and support for change on the same scale as organizations of private sector routinely implement in improvement in quality. Training and education are expected to make a substantial contribution in the quality management. However, this program may have the following barriers while implementing it.
There is the need to perform research in the minority group as well
People not belong to UK or does not know English may create language barrier for gathering results
There are number of people who does not much self aware with health literacy
High education in target group is required to perform this program and accomplished it successfully
There is the lack of peer education approach
For this program there is requirement of huge investment in order to get appropriated result but lack of resources may create hurdles
