Leadership is the usage of strong influence to shape healthcare organization's goals, and to motivate behavior towards achieving these goals, and to make organizational culture. The leadership of the organization is too scattered which means they usually lack cooperation while making valuable decisions and decision making becomes a horrible and time consuming task. The leadership board of the organization is immensely huge. I realize the fact that running big organizations need a lot of people but McLaren North Michigan Health Care possesses a lot more people on its board than the actual requirement. Extra personnel mean extra cost to the organization. This aspect also contributes to the problems faced while decision making because personnel usually lack coordination amongst themselves and leads to confusion in organization, when every person give different suggestions about the issues, decision making become more complex (McLaren Northern Michigan, 2010).

Strategic Issues

The strategic planning of the organization is done in such a manner that future opportunities and threats are not kept in mind and this becomes the reason that McLaren North Michigan Health Care often have to alter the strategic plans and actions for the purpose of coping with the external threats and opportunities. Leaders should look at the potential to develop mass mobilization and engagement in a 'champions of change and quality approach' so that the workforce feels that they can challenge issues of poor productivity, quality and safety. Finally, it is important to identify and build on the outstanding work that will already be going on to systematically build change capability. The potential is very significant. In fact, given the scale and pace of change required, it will not happen without this kind of mindset change and engagement.
