Introduction

This assignment on the subject of “Helping Fields Professionals” is a collective effort of our classmates. Each classmate has expressed his/her personal point of views on why “we” as students and also the current working professionals enter the profession of helping field. There are different viewpoints that express, the many backgrounds that we have come from or have experienced. People choose to enter the helping field for different reasons. Whether their motivation is monetary, work schedule, such as weekends off, or for the feeling they get from helping others. Acquiring a career should be based on the love for that particular type of work. So, I believe a professional who chooses to enter the helping field do so because he/she is getting a satisfying feeling from within. A self-satisfying feeling is sometimes hard to explain because many people do not understand why a person would submit himself/herself to such a stressful environment. If anybody goes into the helping field, he/she has to do it because he/she truly wants to make a difference in someone's life. They cannot choose this field for the money because statistically speaking helping field is not a high paying field. The majority of people working in the helping field are usually underpaid and overworked. So, if you are kind enough to endure these things, this is the right profession for you.
