Introduction

This paper intends to provide a comparative study on United Kingdom and Kuwait higher education systems. Being a Kuwaiti student, I realize that there is an immense need and opportunities for improvement within the higher education system of Kuwait. I intend to explore different aspects of United Kingdom higher education system in order to propose benefits to be taken from the higher education system of United Kingdom for the purpose of improving the higher education system of Kuwait. The higher education system of United Kingdom is assumed to be one of the best around the world. Therefore, this paper will explore different aspects of the higher education system of United Kingdom in order to provide suggestions and recommendations to improve and develop the higher education system of Kuwait. The paper will make the readers aware about how they can take ideas from the higher education of United Kingdom for the purpose of improving the higher education system of Kuwait.

Purpose Statement

The purpose of this research is to conduct a comparative study on United Kingdom and Kuwait higher education systems in order to identify ways through which the higher education system of Kuwait can benefit from United Kingdom higher education system. Witnessing international students to apply for Kuwaiti schools and universities for their education remains the basic purpose of this research proposal. The improvement of the higher education system of Kuwait to the level of United Kingdom will result in motivating students to apply and register for Kuwaiti schools and universities (Flores, 2009 Pp. 1-4).

Background

Being a Kuwaiti student; I realize that the higher education system of Kuwait needs a lot of improvement. The facilities being provided by the higher education system of Kuwait are not efficient enough. The faculty, the curriculum and the underlying teaching processes needs a lot of improvement in order to become a world class higher education system. I wish to research and provide recommendations in order to improve the higher education system of Kuwait and bring it to the level of higher education system of United Kingdom. I have chosen the higher education system of United Kingdom to compare mainly because of the fact that higher education system of United Kingdom is exceptionally well maintained and well reputed around the world. The higher education system of United Kingdom is claimed to be undoubtedly the best. Therefore, the comparison of higher education systems of United Kingdom and Kuwait would be conducted to provide suggestions to improve and develop the Kuwaiti system efficiently.
