The British Empire

The British Empire was one of the largest, powerful, and influential empires of the world. It has a great importance in history because of its ways and manners with which it handled its matters all over the globe. British Empire was a fairly large empire. It included several American colonies and later it even gained access to India. This vast expansion of the British Empire got only possible due to its advanced and ever improving communication and technological means. Their communication and information handling technologies made it possible for them to include last continent of Africa to their vast Empire.

From the fifteenth century and onwards British Empire started off with great and innovative means of developing its technological and communications means. Their reliable and cost effective means of administrative message handling systems made them one of the great empires the world has ever known. It made them possible to penetrate their power and control over the vast area of the world. British Empire made startling innovations during those times to handle their information and documentation systems.

Telegraphy, Railway and Ships

Submarine telegraphic line was spread across the Atlantic Ocean. With the advent of this means of administrative communication, the British Empire improved a terrific deal. However, the code to transmit these messages was a little confusing but with time Samuel Morse developed the idea of sending electrical pulses of two fixed lengths, which made the system more reliable. This advancement in information handling system was a breakthrough for the empire and was the basic reason for its expansion besides their manpower.
