Introduction

Homelessness can be seen as a significant problem for world in last few decades. The issue of homelessness has created severe issues for policy makers and government officials. Since 1980s, the number of a homeless individuals and families has been increasing dramatically. Cut in housing and social expenditure has resulted in deteriorating the economy. Talking particularly about United States of America, it is home to people belonging from diverse cultures. The different cultures have given rise to the formation of communities, each distinguished through a peculiar set of traditional values they practice. Because of the existence of diversified communities, the problems they face are of the diverse nature. We cannot single out a particular problem for a single community.

Discussion

Homeless people are also referred those who have a place for living, but in the literal sense, they are missing all of living in a real house. Vegetate perhaps in a shelter or boarding of those cheap to be eliminated to “get pretty” to the city. They lack the minimum housing conditions that allow them to live with dignity, the warmth of a family, the support of a group of friends (Morse, 2006). There are many people who are homeless but are hidden because of loneliness; suffering and anguish can be disguised. But not their situation ceases to be a real drama. It is difficult to find in any news media that refer to homeless people, except to talk about some violent act or a death-say.

The size of population in US has analyzed on the basis of demographic factors includes gender, race, age and several others. The highest fluctuation of homeless people has observed on the basis of gender and race systems. The sheltered homeless population in US has varied in terms of ethnic race. The white people have homeless issues due to inflation and unemployement. The age group level of 31-50 years respondents has augmented due to above factors. The disabled respondents have maximum proportion of homeless due to their physical disability. The homeless situation in US population has adversely affected due to mentioned variables.

Victimization of Population

People living on street increases the chances of victimization exponentially.There are some more common problems that have haunted these communities for long, and they continue to persist till today. Homelessness is one such a problem that has always posed a great challenge both for the communities and the government Thus, the term homeless may furthermore be expanded to encompass persons who have nowhere to proceed and are at imminent risk of mislaying lodgings through eviction or institutional.
