Leadership is one of the complex concepts however; too often it is taken in narrow meanings. Usually we consider leaders to be those who possess authority over others, those who rule, or particularly the one who leads people and are superior to the rest. But usually this type of leadership observes to be short term and self serving in nature and may leads to grievous outcomes at individual and organizational level (Kelly & Nelson, 2008).

Moral leadership is a different type of leadership. Moral leaders endeavor to serve people rather than being hopeful to be followed. Moral leadership focuses on developing the capacities of others instead of portraying of leader's skills. Any individual holding any position can become a moral leader because moral leadership is not only about the ranks and positions (Kelly & Nelson, 2008).

Moral leaders' acquire profound ethical sense driven by the core principles such as justice, equality and human welfare and are motivated by the quest of a higher principle. Moral leadership is all about an individual's skills and capacities. Moral leadership is a way to manage one's own personality. It includes ego tempering to perform with righteousness and nobility. Moral leaders are creative thinkers and influence through personal transformations. They have extremely developed emotional intelligence sense and social skills (Kelly & Nelson, 2008).

It is observed that moral leaders have increasingly developed skills of consultation and work hard to overcome obstacles. Moral leaders are considered as the moral compass or conscience of an organization or society as they have tendency to develop harmony and find the way to establish unity among diversity and to hold it together. In other words, Moral Leadership instigates, fabricates and strengthens spiritual capital (Kelly & Nelson, 2008).

Moral & Ethical Demonstration

Ethical or moral leadership mainly focus on the practices that involve the theme of respecting the dignity and rights of others. Leaders are usually found be in social power positions. Hence moral leadership is more interested in how these leaders will demonstrate their social powers in their decisions. The actions they are found to be engage in must reflect the positive usage of their social power to influence people (Kelly & Nelson, 2008).

An individual who attempt to be moral leader should ethically demonstrate integrity at a higher degree, because this will leads to a stimulating response of trustworthiness towards a moral leader. It is necessary to develop the trustworthiness of the followers, which helps them to accept the vision of their leader.

These components directly affect the leading style of an ethical or moral leader. The integrity and character provides foundation for leader's personal characteristics and portrays the ethical and moral beliefs, decision and values of the leader. Moral and ethical decisions of the leaders are influenced by an individual's beliefs and values (Kelly & Nelson, 2008).
