Introduction

Amongst the most fascinating quality of this world is that noting remains in its original condition or form, and nothing is constant. Almost every aspect and every phenomenon of this world under goes variations and experiences numerous changes over time, which deviates it form its originality. Evolution has been an inevitable phenomenon of this world, ever since its inception. Now hardly, is there any aspect or matter, which would have been successful in evading from the impressions of constant evolution, which the world renders, as its supreme endowment.

There lie two faces of evolution, one is pleasant and other is reprehensible. The previous terms clearly denotes that evolution does not always signify positivity and progression; most of the time, it is the phenomenon of evolution that drags mankind far away from its sheer essence of humanity and desirable originality.

Essence of Huxley's Brave New World

Huxley, in his endeavour might have employed the fictional characters and a story, which is far from being true, yet the essence which his work carries is a sheer and exact depiction of what the world would suffer in future, and what the world is experiencing in reality today. In a very strange manner, Huxley has tried to acknowledge, laud and even criticize the level and the pace by which the mankind was heading towards constant progress and advancement.

Very astutely and adeptly, Huxley was successful in the sound amalgamation of the concept that every effort has a price to pay, and the continuous indulgence and dependence of mankind in the technological advancements and facilities of life. The previous statement may be a little perplexing to be understood by a naïve person; however, if a cognitive mind strives to comprehend what has been said earlier, it will be rather comfortable for him/her to deduce that the price which the humanity over time has paid, for the acquisition of the advancements and the progression, in order to make the lifestyle of the inhabitants most desired and excessively lavished, was in form of relinquishment of his/her originality. His/her originality resided in his/her beliefs, morals, values, closeness to religion or God, as well as the presence of spirituality in him/her. However, as soon as man got close to his achievements, at the same time deliberately or unintentionally, he was being dragged away from his originality and core beliefs. Before, he could ponder back on what he has achieved and what has he lost, little did he know that now almost whole world is surrounded by the same epidemic, which was being distant from the core essence of humanity, and indulgence in the misleading appearance of the glory of the modern world (MENCÜTEKIN, p. 59).
