Introduction

In today's rapidly changing technological environment, concept of innovation has received a widespread attention from not just the hi-tech community including researchers and professionals but also grabbed the attention of business community (Pretty, 2008). In addition, there is no doubt about the fact that innovation can be seen in many areas from agriculture to electronics and aviation to health or medical sciences.

It is also a fact that innovation has brought many benefits to human life and significantly changed the way people used to live in the past (Pretty, 2008). On the other hand, it is also important to understand that the concept of sustainability, which is generally seen as a way of designing, developing and producing sustainable products for its enduring use of benefits. Similarly, it is also a fact that habits of production and consumption depends on the cultural diversity and can be seen as ways of enriching a living.

It has been seen in many regions of the world that people keep animals including cows or buffalos to produce red meat, milk, raw butter and other dairy products (Padgham, 2006). It has also been seen that some people follow the concept of poultry forms and keep hens to produce meat and eggs. Many people living in urban areas claim that keeping animals is a lifestyle. However, those who live in suburbs or rural areas believe that keeping animals is their lifestyle as well as business. It is a fact that preparing milk from cows or making eggs-hatching process may consume more energy but it depends on the mode of production people choose ((Padgham, 2006)).
