Social, economic, and intellectual achievement of the Renaissance and Protestant Reformation

Introduction

Word renaissance historically means “reincarnation”, between the periods 1350-1550 majority of citizens living in Italy started to believe they has observed the reincarnation of the Greco-Roman civilization, which interprets the marking of new history (Spielvogel, 2011, pp. 376- 380).

Overall, the prime aspects of Italian renaissance were the wealthy people of the country, and an individual characteristic has not played any role in the sudden improvement, all the same, this movement has indirectly affected the life of common person, in addition to these, social and political aspects are major contributors in the reincarnation process.

After undergoing an economic chaos and social upheavals during the period of fourteen and fifteen century, the economy of European states slowly and virtually started to progress as the country was able to increase its manufacturing and trading capacity.

However, during the period of fourteen century, business personal of Italy were able to carry forward their amazing commerce strategy overall Mediterranean, further has also expanded their trading business across the Atlantic seaboard (Spielvogel, 2011, pp. 378- 382).

During the early period of the thirteen century, majority of the people from North German develop a commercial and military association, which was termed as Hanseatic League. Despite of difficult situations the wealthy people of Italy and other states were able to sustain their business empire. However, this success was for a shorter period as due to discoveries made in the transitional period gave extra importance to the states that were situated alongside the ocean.
