Introduction

Israel is a kind of a country with a serious relationship with its own cultural traditions and customs. The centuries-old history of Israel's land is still reflected in the way of life of local residents. This paper focuses on culture and ethnic origin of the conflict between Israel and Palestine.

Israel Culture & Traditions

The culture of Israel is inseparable from the history of Judaism and the Jewish people that precede it. The cultural diversity of Israel derives from the diversity of its population: Jews from around the world brought their cultural and religious traditions with them, creating a melting pot of customs and beliefs of Jewish culture (Stein and Ted, pp N.A). Israel is the only country in the world life revolves around the Hebrew calendar. Work and school holidays are determined by the Jewish holidays, and the official day of rest is Saturday, the Sabbath (Jerome, pp 164-206). The large Arab minority in Israel has also left its imprint on Israeli culture in areas such as architecture music, and cuisine. Everyone is equal so that they can practice their religion. There are three main religions practiced in Israel, Judaism (76%), Islam (16%) and Christianity (2.1%).

There are also some other minorities such as Druze, Baha'is, and even Buddhists. Israeli law explicitly guarantees equal rights to all citizens irrespective of their religion or ethnicity. However, the law gives preferential treatment in certain respects to those individuals who meet the criteria of the Law of Return, which is controversial because the Act differs from the religious criteria on who meets the Jewish status. The main religions are Judaism, Islam and Christianity. Through this calendar are estimated date commemorative events and religious festivals. Unlike other countries, in Israel, the traditional day of rest is Friday afternoon and Saturday (Khater, pp 111). Many have heard, perhaps, are the word "Sabbath", and this also are the name of Israel on Saturday. But state agencies do not work not only on Fridays and Saturdays, and on holidays, too. It happens that even public transportation does not go, if the day is marked by a great holiday (Jerome, pp 164-206). According to ancient tradition, celebrated special days are not like everywhere else. In Israel, it is believed that the night before the holiday begins and ends with sunset.
