Justice for all! Justice is the right of every tax paying individual. It is considered to be one of the many basic rights that a person has. Laws and regulations of one part of the world differ from the other in many ways. What is considered legal in one part of the world might not be considered legal in another part of the globe. Laws of a land reflect the culture and the norms of the residents. The paper focuses on the justice system for the juveniles of Greece and USA.

Justice system in Greece

Up to the 80s, Greece was considered to be a place which had a very low rate of crime. In 1983, Greece ranked among the five countries in the world, which had low rate of crimes and inmates. Other countries with such good statistics related to crimes were, Malta, Cyprus, Ireland and the Netherlands. The criminal system for Justice in Greece underwent various adjustments for a very homogenous society, concerning the social control pressures that were informal and that were working effectively, (Hunter, 1994). The surplus of the working force of Greece would largely migrate to other European nations or other nations in the world.

However, in the later years, the industrialization, urbanization and modernization processes along with the advent of foreigners brought about many changes in the crime situations, both qualitatively and quantitatively. The criminal system of Greece was not able to make the necessary changes and adjustments to these changes that were incoming at a very fast pace.
