The research data was analysed by dividing interview responses into different categories and classifications which are necessarily important and vital. They are presented within the sections of headings of this chapter in a sequential manner; changing profiles of individuals in hotel industry, employment trends, forecasts of employment, future qualification requirements, and service quality challenge are some of the things which will be discussed in a manner of deliberation and thought from the viewpoint of the respondents and research participants selected. The findings section is categorized in a manner that it will facilitate the changes in the labour and skills shortage of the hotel industry and detail out every possible trend that has to be identified for the cause.

Changing profiles of individuals in hotel industry

According to the findings from the respondents, the changing profile of workforce development in the service industries such as those of the hotel and hospitality industry is included from the years 2001-2009. The occupation and departments are recognized and divided by means of the configurational levels and sectors are well managed and balanced for the perspective outcomes.

The descriptions are about the current profile of the workforce in hotel industry by classification of gender, age, hour of work and qualification. They show and represent how respondents think that the profiles of individual have changed over the past couple of years and indicate the changing trends of the last decade as well. The description substantially provides a context within which it is easier to understand the allocations and different components of configuration in a suitable time frame.

Tourism and hotel industry implied about 674,000 workers in 2009 which was significantly increased form the year 2001which counted about 93,000 workers overall for the purpose of different jobs and specified nature of work. This according to the research participants, show about 1.8 per cent of growth per year which is gradually rising and increasing with time. Two of the largest filling occupations of this industry are waiters and kitchen hand, each serving to provide employment to about 100,000 people and in some regions more than that. Other significant options for the labours and skills for this sector are chefs, restaurant or café manager, cook, bar attendants and fast food cooks.

Gender differentiation and distinguishing features are different form one another in different forms as well.

The hotel industry implies more females than males the amount of which is about 55%, comparatively higher than the amount found in the year 2009. The profiles which respondents figured out to be contributing within the hotel industry were males when jobs like chefs and fast foods cooks were involved and females for jobs of cooks and waiters.
