Many items are needed in a laboratory which should be present all the times. For instances, all the martial which is used for testing should be available and the manger should fill the required staff whenever it is required. There are many items in the laboratory which are used on daily basis, these items should be properly managed by the laboratory manager. It is also the duty of the laboratory manger that he or she should not keep any stock in excess. It i s because if anything is kept in excess than it will be useless. Therefore, all the material required for the effective day to day operations of the laboratory must be maintained in the laboratory. Nothing should be bought in bulk for the laboratory as it will be wasted uselessly (Webb 2013, pp.1-5). There should be proper prediction of the material required and that material must be kept in an efficient way. It has been noticed in most of the laboratories that the stock level exceeds from the required levels . Most of the mangers of the laboratories do not pay heed to the stock levels and their attention is mainly focused on the day to day operations.
