Leadership Audit Analysis 2

Introduction

Christian leaders are defined as pastors who are considered as servants while being capable and credible and aim to influence those who they can in the pursuit of the God-given direction. Christian leadership is the practice whereby these servants use the different methods available to them to influence the people to come in the way of the God (Bass, 2004).

To Christian leaders, leadership is utmost important and necessary. The pastors are the one who are given the role of leadership. They are the one who work day in a day out to influence the people to come in the direction of God. They influence the people who come to the church and even those who do not appear in the church. They are in a very unique position to bring a difference in the lives of their followers. The one who follow them are very loyal and trust them for the direction of God that they show them (Bobb, 1986). However, these Christian leaders have a exclusive position to go beyond showing their followers the way of God and instead make a huge difference in their lives. So taking the prestigious role of learning leadership and becoming a leader is the foremost duty of any Christian leader or pastor.

Yet, it has been found that leadership when we talk of pastor or other cleric is not as the same traditional leadership. The pastors are given a special position in the world with the job of making humanity come in the path of God, they strive very hard for this as it is a pain staking job in which request is done many and acceptance are few. Accordingly, the management concept of leadership is expected to slightly differ for Christian leadership exhibited by the pastors

(Brad, 2007). Therefore, we need to conduct various audits of the leadership traits, capabilities, and roles of the pastors to determine their leadership skills, practices and roles. It is the case when the all the qualities of leadership traits and the required behavior are shown by the Christian leader, than and only they are considered the true representative of the people the lead and the community in which they reside in. Since ordinary leadership is bound to give ordinary results while great, leadership is bound to give exceptional result.
