Schedule 8 is the category of poisons and drugs, normally regarded as Controlled drugs and is used in therapies and contains high potential for addiction and abuse. Such drugs are approved by the department of health prior to use by a patient. Examples are: Fentanyl, Hydromorphone, Flunitrazepam, Ketamine, and Methadone.
