Overview

In this lesson students will compare and contrast between the nonfiction books. There are certain concepts that need to be explored to the students in overall understanding of the lesson following areas will be covered in the class that will be taught to the students.

Comparing and Contrasting

When the students will read the text they will identify the difference and similarities between the synonyms and antonyms. The story will be divided into different sessions and in each session end there will be an activity for students to grab their understanding level. The students will compare and contrast between fiction and nonfiction book this will explore their thinking and in this way they will get new ways to explore their ideas and incorporate in their studies (Compare and Contrast).

In the reading strategy the important aspect is to comprehend. In the class when teacher tells the story each and every student think from different aspect as the aspect of the story is different so the idea generation leads towards different tracts and the compare and contrasting area becomes more interesting in class conversation. Venn diagram

Venn diagram is a graphic organization of the material that uses to help the students in compare and contrast between nonfiction books. The student will identify which information goes in the circles that intersect the other circles. The teacher will guide the students to put the relative information in the Venn diagram. Student will extract the information and inserts it into a Venn. The goal of the session is to place the correct information in the Venn diagram (Compare and Contrast).

When the teacher narrates the story in the class and the understanding of studies will be identified at this step.
