Attraction engages the attitudes individuals form about other people, and affect plays an important role in forming such attitudes. Among the core concepts of interpersonal attraction is the principle of familiarity. According to Berscheid and Regan (2005), “the familiarity principle of attraction is perhaps the most basic of the general principles of attraction” (p. 177). There is also evidence indicating that familiarity plays a large role in making someone attractive. There are some circumstances in which familiarity does not breed liking but instead breeds contempt. Love is an all inclusive feeling that has turned into the foundation of marriage and family for numerous social orders, which scientists proceed to investigate. Love and attraction give off an impression of being all inclusive feelings. In order to structure a relationship, there should be some kind of attraction, either it on the personality level or physically. Starting attraction for a potential mate is quite connected with physical engagingness. Numerous researchers have discovered this physical quality to be a significant determinant in the dating and relationship.

There could be a lot factors that attracts us to one and other. With all set generalized views and perspectives regarding the factors of attraction, it highly depends on the nature of the person who gets attracted towards someone. Some may get attracted towards a person keeping his or her appearance in view, and the others may get attracted to someone by their nature and personality. Considering this as one of the basic needs of human, everyone does get attracted to a person for one reason or the other. On the other hand, there are more chances of liking someone who belongs to the same culture than being attracted to someone from another culture. One main reason for this is because people from the same culture have similar rituals, values, and norms, and it is easy for them to connect with each other. They have several similar aspects, and it is relatively easier to adjust with that person. With several similar traits and characteristics, our sub-conscious mind also plays a role in being attracted to a person from the similar culture.

Consequently, an individual would be more hesitant in knowing and being attracted towards a person from another culture, as there would be several points of dissimilarities, and would have less mutual ground to settle on. It would be difficult for them to relate and ...
