Discussion

According to Alfred Kinsey, when it comes to love, we are all in the dark. Many attempts have been made to describe love but it greatly varies depending on the situation that a person is subjected to. Similar is the case with prince Hamlet, whose love for Ophelia changes its intensity in order to protect his love. This puts his love for Ophelia in a questionable state and Shakespeare has cleverly left the question unanswered, which has led to discussion regarding the true state of affairs. In some parts of the play, Hamlet completely ignores her, whereas in other cases, his intense love for Ophelia captures the warmth of every heart.
