Employee Engagement And Commitment At Legal Services Commision (LSC)

Introduction

Background of study

Participative Management and Management by Objectives are the systemic concepts, made up of essential parts which are independently distinguishable, but which together forms a new and better strategy which ultimately affects the whole organization in terms of efficiency and effectiveness of the organizational productivity (CIPD, 2012). According to the previous studies, it is observed and proved that the organizational behaviors are influenced by various factors. These factors depend on different theories, moreover, past researchers worked on a different aspect of a distinct phenomenon. In addition, the organizational behavior was considered as to be influenced by the classical approach, which was helpful for identifying and resolving the initial or the minor problems that were pertaining to the organization (CIPD, 2012).

The approaches that include human relations approach, systems approach and the contingency approaches are considered as the modern tactics, which help the organizations in resolving the problems that are arising due to the changing environment of the modern-day business (CIPD, 2012).

This study focuses on the study of the employee involvement and their commitment at Legal Service Commission (LSC). Furthermore, the study would also focus on analyzing the different factors responsible for motivating the employees into involvement at LSC, and the results that are derived from this involvement of the employees. The paper will also discuss about the assessment system that will be developed and implemented in order to measure the commitment and the engagement of the employees at LSC.

Broad Aim of the Project

The aims and objectives of this study are as follows:

To identify whether employee involvement at LSC would have a significant impact on the performance of the organisation.

To identify ways in which LSC can promote involvemenet of employee in the decision making process.

To identify ways in which employees can be motivated to participate in the decision making process.

To identify ways in which involvement, performance and the dedication of the employee can be evaluated.

Benefits to the Organization

The organization will be able to derive several benefits from this study. One of the main benefits of this study would be based on the fact that the results of this study would allow the organization to identify the different ways in which it can promote employee involvement. Furthermore, the organisation will also be able to identify the possible impact of employee involvement in the decision making process, on the overall performance of the organisation. This, in turn, would affect the performance of the employees in the organization in a positive manner, which also enhances the performance of the organization, as a whole.
