“God or Devil”

Introduction

In the text of the New Testament, the term Satan is a Hebrew word designates a personal devil which is translated into English as 'adversary'. He is, however, known by various other names and descriptions, of which the most common in the Gospels is 'the devil', from the Greek word diabolos, meaning 'slanderer' (Gilchrist, 30). Account of evil needs to explained not necessary merely moral evil but also natural evil. The Christian account(s) of evil contains within it the possibility of evil applied both to actions and to nature. Thus actions can be evil, as in moral evil, but natural conditions, as in pain, pestilence and disaster, can also be evil (Phillips, 167).

Satan, to some extent is the cultural order in what is violent. But beware: this does not mean that one can condemn the order anyway, because the movement is towards less and less sacrificial violence. And it is obvious it is true as I say that violence is somehow fatal to humanity which cannot be organized if there was no sacrifice, the sacrifices are needed and accepted by God. God has made ??concessions in classical Judaism that are not there in Christianity since the sacrificial principle is revealed (Roche, 20)

Et nox facta est by Victor Hugo

Victor Hugo (1802-1885), novelist, poet, and dramatist, is one of the most important of French Romantic writers. Among his most ambitious works was an epic poem, "Et nox facta est," ("And There Was Night"), a study of Satan's fall. The poem was never completed. And There Was Night is a Religious long epic by Victor Hugo, of Which Were Written 5700 lines between 1854 and 1862; aim left unfinished and published After His Death.

And There Was Night

And There Was Night is a vast epic and religious poem by Victor Hugo. Although the oldest parts date back to 1854, they were not even thought of as a particular set and Hugo was still thinking them into his little epics. From 1855, Hugo develops his vision as he announces in the Preface to the First Series of The Legend of the Centuries: this is only the first part of an immense, two other pieces And There Was Night and God, should be published soon, but in fact are still unfinished. Even after having worked between 1860 and 1862, Hugo would never come back, and the poem will be published posthumously in 1886.

Argument

Satan is described as a religions and sects, whose job is to represent and embody the incarnation of evil before God. All the acts alleged good of God and the evil of Satan described, are actually acts of the human person himself who lives in the conflict, in contrast, the split personality, ranging from feeling good in and feel evil. Iron Sword will become the symbol of war, endless torment mankind, personified by the terrible Nimrod , who will attempt to reach heaven after having conquered and ravaged the Earth, the wood will become the Gestapo, which sent of God will be crucified stone will become the Prison, a symbol of pain and the sequence of men. Salvation can ...
