Multi and Single Draft Writers

Introduction

This paper has been written with regards to multi and single draft writers, and comparisons between the two have also been made. Moreover, the importance of both types of writers has also been discussed. The topic has been chosen because writers play a very crucial role in developing the drafts and it is dependent on their skills and abilities that produce the best drafts. If the drafts that are produced are good, they do not have to be changed, however, there are also some cases in which drafts need to be changed. Therefore, revision is required, and changes have to be made in the draft.

Discussion

Writing is an art, and not every individual excels in this art. This is because the writers may possess writing skills or creativity that the other individuals might not. Moreover, the writers are further categorized into various categories for different genres. The skills of the writers are determined on their interest and on the basis of the work that they produce. For instance, writers for a particular subject area such as medical or humor differ from one another. Therefore, the writers are able to portray their abilities in writing with regards to their interest and flair of writing in an area. The two types of writers that will be discussed throughout the paper have been mentioned below.

Furthermore, the belief that the teachers have inculcated in the students is that revised a writing piece can improve the quality. Therefore, the students are encouraged to revise their work before submission. However, the notion that has been formed is because it results in texts which are better, and they often pair with assumptions other than what has been originally written. When an individual works for separate drafts, revision occurs, and the students are asked to submit their drafts initial after which the final work has to be submitted. However, after the submissions of the draft and before the submission of the final work, revision takes place to ensure that the final work is free from any kind of errors (Weston, 1992).

Comparison

As it has been mentioned above, the revision takes place between the submission of the draft and the final work. Therefore, when the draft is being complied, the viewpoints of the writer in the book or the text from where information is taken are discussed. However, later onwards, the writer also presents his own points with regards to critical thinking which results in changes.

There are also writers who draft three or four unrevised paragraphs, and they do this in order to ensure that the tone that has been used is correct. This technique is also feasible for the writers who aim to ensure that the beginning of their work is appropriate.
