Bank is a renowned author and educationist. He has made significant contributions in the field of Education. His area of expertise is multicultural education. He has written many books and articles on multicultural education. In this research paper, Banks has provided an in depth analysis of the multicultural education. He has traced its historical development and defined its different dimensions. Similarly, he has also explained in this research paper that there is a great gap between theory and practice in the multicultural education. The theory present in the literature regarding multicultural education is different from that is practiced in the field of multicultural education. The problem identified by banks in this research paper suggests that multicultural education is not properly included in most of the developing countries. Only the culture of the majority of the people became part of the curriculum in most of the developing countries. For instance, citing the example of the curriculum of the USA, he has suggested that the post secondary teaching at USA neglects most of the features of the other cultures. Like there is mention of Hispanic, Latin American or Muslim culture in it. The authors used both the primary and secondary methods of research in this research paper. They not only reviewed the previous literature on the topic, but they also conducted interviews and filled questionnaires, as well. The lesson to be created shall include all the major findings of the author.

The author emphasizes that the researchers should try to reach the neglected segments of our society and try to learn their culture. Furthermore, he also suggests that we should not consider the current knowledge of different cultures as sufficient and try to find out the cultures of other ...
