Introduction

Big companies and their owners has always been a centre of attraction to me. They fascinate me because of the skills and abilities that they have. The way that they manage the businesses is worth seeing and is very interesting. All the people who manage their money and own their own businesses are part of a career, which we call business. The career of business ranges from a local shoe maker, to the owner of the largest international firm of the world. The career that I have chosen for this research paper is business. The paper will start with a background of my chosen career, followed by the education and skills needed for this career and the future rewards that this career will bring to me.

Background

The history of businessmen dates back to the prehistoric times. Cave men were businessmen and so were all the coming generations and people. This part will address the background of businessmen, right from the cave men till this day.

Cave men

The people who lived in caves were the earliest and the most primitive businessmen of the planet. They had the most basic tools that they used in their business and they survived on some basic skills. The cave men led a simple life. The tools that they had for their business included bones, stones, fire, spears and wood tools. The business skills that these primitive businessmen had were basically hunting and the fight for survival. They believe d in gathering and living in clans and did cave dwellings. They wore leaves and the skin of animals. The did their business of hunting and survival which helped them move to the next level of business.

The Neolithic businessman

The Neolithic businessman dates back to the years 4500 BC to 3300 BC. The business skills improved in this age than the ones that were prevalent in the cave men. The skills included agriculture, sailing, ditch digging, pottery and construction. They started cultivating and making up for their basic needs.

The Classic Businessman

After the era of Neolithic businessmen, the classical businessman emerged. The classical businessmen had the basic business skills of democracy, philosophy and athleticism. They started wearing olive leaves and togas. The most prominent businessmen of this era include Hermes and Socrates (www.findnotary.com).

The Medieval Businessman

The medieval businessmen belonged the era between 476 and 1492 AD. These businessmen had the skills of archery, sword fighting, wizardry, peasantry, jousting and jesting. They started using billowy outfits and armors. The notable figures of this era include Merlin and King Arthur.

The Exploration and the Reformed Businessman

The era of 1492 to 1600 AD belonged to the exploration businessman. They had the skills of ship building, mercantilism, navigation and cartography. They became familiar with the concepts of piracy. The most prominent figures of this era include Magellan and Christopher Columbus. After the exploration businessman came the reformed businessman.
