Executive Summary

The American sportswear company Nike is known for its brand of clothing, footwear and other sporting goods. It has been listed among the top ten American companies with greater transparency and social responsibility, according to the World Ranking of Global Sustainability Reporters. The report, published in 2006, in collaboration with the United Nations Program for Environment (UNEP, for its acronym in English), highlights the leaders in corporate sustainability and transparency. The inclusion of Nike on the list makes it one of the most important companies in corporate responsibility. Nike is closer to the idea of ??sustainability risk management which leads him to implement a different strategy and enter new markets. Transparency is fundamental to responsible business strategy and this report on Nike CSR can help promote it to develop a sustainability strategy. The aim of Nike is to find innovative ways of developing our corporate responsibility strategy for our employees and consumers.

This report consists of six parts: the first part reviews the current state of CSR within the company. It includes its current vision and value statements, programs related to the three spheres and the environment, recent events related to current programs and reported stakeholder view of programs and actions of the company. The second part of report reviews the current status of the company with regard to employee relations, corporate culture, investor relations and suppliers. Third part of report discusses the plans and programs Nike plans to implement to address issues within political sphere; regulatory structures, adherence to government regulations and relations to government entities are discussed in this part of report. Fourth part of the report sheds light on current status of the company with regard to NGOs (non-governmental organizations), local communities and customers. Fifth part of report assesses status of the company with regard to the local and global environmental impact s. The last part concludes the whole report. Recommendations are also made for changes with respect to CSR of the organization.
