By end of the Cold War and the progress in weapons technology has led to a fundamental review of strategic concepts. Today we speak about a Revolution in activities of police force which seems to be a broad consensus, especially in the United States (Scott, 1997). The great advances in science specifically in weapons have solved most problems in the future security. The concept of non-lethality is considered as a logical and appropriate concept to the new security environment. The management and control of violence with the causing harm to people's life and public property is an important issue. It is very complicated to protect civil liberties along with effective enforcement of law. The protection of civil liberties with reduction in criminal activities is a demanding job that is faced by police force on daily basis. In order to protect civil liberty the police have development an arsenal of effective non lethal weapons. In this paper I am going to discuss Non Lethal weapons used by Police. The purpose of this paper is to let readers know about the importance and effects of Non Lethal Weapons used by police. The moral and ethics related to Non-lethal weapons used by Police will also be discussed.

The apparent paradox of Non Lethal weapons was born in the 1960s is developed from the perspective of "Revolution in Military Affairs" after the Cold War, but the concept now plays a crucial role in policing strategies of policing in daily. The range extends from arms means well known to disperse a crowd of gases, sounds or other means "disabling" to weapons of science fiction as radar emitting radiation (Rózsa, 2009). As goes the NATO definition, these weapons are made to cause no permanent damage, so presumably would not be as damaging to the public image of those who use them fold. However, one of the great dangers for the future is that if these weapons become popular and is less expensive; perhaps governments around the world end up using them extensively for their own purposes.
