Introduction

The work consists of 24 songs. Like many ancient epics, begins in media which means it starts in the middle of the story, telling past events based on memories or stories of Odysseus himself. The poem is divided into three parts. On the return Odysseus arrives at the court of King Albinos and tells all his adventures since leaving Troy. Finally, in revenge of Odysseus, describes the return to the island, the recognition by one of his slaves and his son, and how Odysseus killing the suitors come to all. After that, Odysseus is renowned for his wife Penelope and recovers his kingdom. Finally, peace is signed between all (McCaughrean Pp. 212-241).

Discussion
