Abstract

Organizational structure is the ordered set of responsibilities, authorities, and decisions of communications organizational units of a company. The term "organization" has often been used in terms of business and organization setting. Successful organizations are one whose structure allows them to expand and diverse. It is significant for the organization to design a flexible structure and a proper hierarchical framework in order to get the work done. It mainly includes: respective titles, basic tasks, responsibilities, formal relations, level of authority, and cultural aspects. Accordingly, we can define as basic function organization, careful study of the structure organizational business so that it is well defined and can meet the real needs and objectives established integrated with the informal organization and strategies established in the company.

Introduction

Organization, Systems and Methods is a classic area of management that deals with a set of techniques that has as main objective to improve the functioning of organizations. The role of the Organization and Methods is recognized by the abbreviations: O & M and OSM (Organization, Systems and Methods). The goal is to create or improve working methods, streamline the execution of activities, eliminate duplicative activities, standardize, improve control, making the process management and troubleshooting, also called pathologies organizational. As for in this paper we will be discussing the fact that Organization structure plays a vital role in the success of the organization. The organization that we have selected is the Bank of New York Mellon, which is based in New York city.
