Introduction

The organizational behavior refers to the investigation of individuals, structures and groups on the behavior that occurs in an organization. Every organization's behavior is different from the other because of factors such as the management philosophy, structure, mode of communication and relationship between the superior and subordinates. The organizational behavior is also influenced by the culture of the country in which the organization is. Therefore, culture plays a very important role in determining the behavior of the individuals in an organization. This paper is focused on determining the organizational behavior of the individuals in Mexico and how it's highly contextual culture affects the organizations and businesses.

Discussion

History of Mexico

Mexico is situated in the southern part of North America. The country had complex civilization before it was conquered by Spanish in 16th century. After the conquest made by Spanish, Mexico's native civilization was fused with the European culture. Mexico was considered to be just another Kingdom that was conquered by Spanish for three centuries. During this time period the population was reduced by almost half and was replaced by Spanish. This is the reason why Mexico consists of a mixture of both Spanish and Indigenous populations. In 1810, the country got independence from Spain. The country lost almost half of its territory to United States during the Mexican American Was in 1846. In 1861, Mexico was invaded by France and they set Maximilian I on the throne for six years. After half a century of political chaos and economic stagnation, Porfirio Diaz came in power and stabilizes and modernized the economy and society of Mexico. Its economy has increases integration with America as a result of lower trade barriers in NAFTA (www.nationsonline.org).
