Summary

This paper intends to discuss different theories of interpersonal skills in the context of organizational requirements. Various theories will be utilized to perform a root cause analysis in order to solve different organizational problems. The problems identified for the purpose of discussion are increased turnover, low job performance and decreased motivation of employees to work at M. Block & Sons. Employee turnover has been a subject of interest to scholars of organizational theory and development for some time. Employee turnover affects every type of business from manufacturing to service and is costly and disruptive to productivity. Whenever there is high turnover rate, it indicates prevalence if problems in employees' job satisfaction level. There are many social factors that derive the issues in any organization. This may lead to rising conflicts, lowering the motivation level, job dissatisfaction and jealousy among the workers. Motivation needs a regular care from the management. It is their responsibility to keep their employees motivated towards achieving the shared goals. At this time, vision become imperative to be communicated again and again to the employees at all the level. Every employee is valued and this has to be communicated to them through your words, action and vision. Communication is a leading element that should aim to create connectedness among the management and employees. Participative leadership can play a vital role in such situation when they general motivational level starts to drop. It will eventually turn into transformational leadership. There has to be an effective and long-term connectivity between the organizational structure and organizational operations. Problems do take place in any organization but successful ones consider them as opportunities to refine their organizational procedures.

Introduction

This paper intends to discuss different theories of individual or interpersonal level in relation with the organizational context. In terms of organizational behavior, the role of every individual is subjected to some change to meet the requirements. Various theories will be utilized to perform a root cause analysis in order to solve different organizational problems. Different solutions in order to reduce the problems will also be identified. A four step process will be applied to real world organizational problems. There will be no assumptions made in identifying the problem. A root cause analysis including a '5 why' process will also be conducted in order to eradicate the root causes of the problems. Potential solutions through brainstorming process will be identified. This paper will systematically evaluate different solutions to select the best solution having the greatest potential impact and an ability to provide the best change after successful implementation. The purpose of this research paper is to make the readers aware about the significance of identifying the root causes of organizational problems and eradicating the causes of problems at root.
