Introduction

Osteoporosis is a disease that is characterized by the tissue loss of bone and low bone mass that may have to fragile and weak bones. If someone has osteoporosis, then it is likely to have an increased risk of the bones' fracturing or the broken bones. The commonest most areas of fracture are wrist, spine and hip bone.

Osteoporosis is a condition that is often considered as the frail to the elderly women develop. Nevertheless, the osteoporosis damage initiates much prior in life. In our lives, the intake of calcium is much more essential and integral parts of the strong bones build up. The human bones peak density is attained at the age of around 25 years of age, and is mandatory for the humans to build up their strong bones till this age in order to have strong bones later in the life (Woolf, 2004, pp. 45-47).

In the U.S, around 10 million people face the problem of osteoporosis in their lives. Another amount of people have low bone mass of approximately 18 million that have osteoporosis increased risk. This number is in an increase range and as the population ages this becomes more common. Women are more prone to have osteoporosis and in U. S. around 80% of them are facing such problem. People who are above 50 years of ages and one out of every two women and one out of every eight men are assumed and predicted to have fracture related to the osteoporosis in their lifetime.

According to the WHO (World Health Organization), the osteoporosis prevalence in the U. S. white women who have gone through their menopause is estimated to be around 14% in those who are in their early and late 50s and 22% in those who are in the range of 60 to 69 of age and around 39% in the age brackets of 70 to 79 years of age, and around 70% in those who are 80 and above and much older. In people of all ethnic background, important risk has been reported in such people. It is also noticeable that Asian and white racial groups are however found to be at greater risk of osteoporosis (NIAMS, 2011).

Osteoporosis is caused due to a variety of causes of group of bones, normal bone tissue calcification, calcium salt and the matrix proportion which is normal, a metabolic bone disease characterized by a decrease in the amount of bone tissue in the unit volume. Mostly osteoporosis is caused due to the bone tissue reduction and is mainly due to the increase in bone resorption. Pathological anatomy visible meager, trabecular bone cortex sparse atrophy osteoid layer is not thick (McGrother, 2001, pp.4-13).

The Disease

The origin of osteoporosis must be sought in the factors that influence the development and bone quality. The risk of osteoporosis is determined by the peak bone mass is obtained in adulthood and old age produced by relegation. In addition to aging, appeared involved in genetic and hereditary factors, the daughters of mothers ...
