The common aspects of gambling that a naïve American is aware of is to be a part of certain game, and place your object (usually money) at stake, and if fortune favors you and you win, then you are entitled to a handsome amount of money, or whatever object was put at stake at the other end.

Amongst those numerous kinds of addiction is the harmful, detrimental and fast growing addiction to gambling. The basic reason that is understood by a naïve mind in this context pertains to the fact that, a common person sees it as an easy way of doubling or increasing his money, provided the fortune favors him. Henceforth, in this hope and desire that there will be a time when the fate and destiny will be kind on him and shower their benevolence on him, he keeps on falling deep and deep in the quagmire of this lust, and hence, develops the addiction to gambling.
