Introduction

“Accounting, One Degree with 360 Degrees of Possibilities” (Craddock & Gale, 20006, p.12). There have been a number of advancements in the field of accounting; from just involving in the calculation of numbers and other tedious calculations, there have been a number of different variations in this field and its application. This has opened a large number of opportunities and field for the student of accounting. Accounting field is more open to offer the attractive career with demanding and promising job opportunities. It deals with costing, interpretation, analysis and determining business strategies. Accounting has become one of the most important departments in all the business organizations. This is the reason that accounting is the only choice for me. Apart from choosing field and career, another important decision is to make the right choice for the academic institution. There are a number of different Universities, Colleges, and Higher educational institutions offering courses for the Accounting, but one of the best choices to get an accounting degree is University of California. This is my second year in this college, and now I want transfer to the University of California.

I am an International student studying in a college with from the very beginning I have an interest in the field of accounting, and this is the only field that I want to continue for my future career. There have been a number of different advancements in this field and more opportunities as it is the basic requirement for every organization and business. After choosing my career and field, second step is to make the right choice for the educational institution. For this purpose, University of California is the perfect choice for me.

1. What is your intended major? Discuss how your interest in the subject developed and describe any experience you have had in the field — such as volunteer work, internships and employment, participation in student organizations and activities — and what you have gained from your involvement.

My intended major is accounting, I am more interested in this field. I always wanted in my life, to achieve a promising career. As an international student, I know the importance of working and achieving higher positions in life. Numbers are always an attraction for me, and this interest becomes my passion with the passage of time. According to BCS the Chartered Institute for IT (2011), organizations require skilled managers and leaders who can face the challenges of increase in global demand. This assisted in defining my ambition in my life. My background and my effort to achieve higher position in any organization are what that makes me realized that this is the first step that will lead me to my destination. After my first step of choosing career, choosing University of California is the second step for me to achieve my goal.
