Introduction

The purpose of this paper is to enlighten the findings extracted from observation. This paper aims to incorporate the conceptions of learning and development; in addition, the paper will engulf the concepts illustrated by Sigmund Freud's theory of development in order to explore the developmental status of the subject under observation. The Austrian neurologist and psychoanalyst Sigmund Freud argued that all animals and human are born with powerful biological urges. These urges can influence the learning and developmental status of an individual as the prescribed urges serve as stimulus to achieve objectives.

In addition, these conceptions can also be implemented in scenarios where an individual is experiencing learning and developmental anomalies. These conceptions can serve as basic grounds to formulate effective approaches in order to cope with the concerns encountered. In this paper, four subjects have been taken into consideration each with a distinct state of mind. In addition, the paper will analyze the current issues and concerns acknowledged by the individuals along with the approaches adapted to cope with the concerns. The paper will illustrate the current developmental status of subjects and explore events that are responsible for condition of subject.

The name of subject observed for analysis in this paper is Celine Jenkins. Celine is an innocent girl who had started to develop behavior of isolation and rebellious nature due to excessive ridicule encountered. This ridicule was subjected at poor academic performance of Celine caused by Dyslexia. This paper will discuss and enlighten severity of Celine's condition along with improvement acknowledged in developmental phase.

The age of subject selected for observation in this paper is 10 years. Nevertheless, the gender of the subject selected for observation is female.

Current Developmental Stage

Dyslexia is the learning disability which has been originated in brain, thus producing difficulty with accurate, spelling, writing and fluency word recognition and with ability for deciphers key concepts. People who suffer from dyslexia are often very gifted and bright in areas that they do not require language skills like the arts and sciences, even in the computer skills (Blackwell, 2004, 56-72). Many scientific studies have identified factors gene involved in the etiology of dyslexia (Jones, 2004, 89-97).

In this scenario, the occurrence of Dyslexia was eminent as the parents of Celine Jenkins had consulted with several psychologists, physicians and neurologists for the conditions of their daughter and the response was occurrence of Dyslexia due to which Celine could not concentrate on the activities requiring reading and comprehension (Williams, Lynch, 2010, 113-121). The effects of Dyslexia are diverse and can lead to several consequences; nevertheless, the severity of consequences varies from one subject to another. On the basis of this information, it can be stated that there are several possible consequences to be acknowledged by Celine Jenkins in this scenario. The problems acknowledged during developmental stage can be poor reading, writing and decision-making.
