Introduction

People after getting treatment of several health issues start to recover and get towards a stage of wellness. This is a stage where people feel satisfied about their physical and mental health. Swarbick (2006) in his study mentioned activities that keep a person in a state of wellness. These activities are social interaction, emotional, intellectual and interaction with the environmental activities which keeps a person physically and mentally strong. There are several treatments that can be adopted in order to recover well from a disease or a medical problem. Many medical professionals and doctors have found ways that can be opted in order to recover quickly and achieve the stage of wellness. Today psychologists have dance therapy as a very good source of recovery for achieving the wellness stage. Dancing Therapy is an activity that makes people physically and mentally strong, it helps them to achieve the stage of wellness. The assessment report will provide an analysis of how dace therapy plays a role in making people recover from the health problems and return towards a healthy life. It will analyze the ways through which dance therapy is used in order to overcome different diseases like dementia and depression.

A person by involving in social, emotional and physical activities can facilitate in achieving the stage of wellness. In order to achieve physical wellness it is important for the individual who is suffering from a disease, trauma or illness to adopt the habit of physical activities that can help him in developing a healthy physical and mental ability. There are different kinds of physical activities and therapies that can play a very important role in making a human beings life healthy for example exercise, walking, jogging, running, dancing, doing yoga and etc. A physical wellness will enable a person to judge and learn about the different symptoms that need proper medical attention; it also enables a person in making him responsible towards maintaining his or her health. The most important benefit that a person can get from maintaining physical wellness is that it increases self-esteem, self-control, creates determination and helps in enabling the person to judge the right direction. Apart from the moral benefits physical wellness also increases the strengths of the muscles in the body, develops strong cardiovascular system and enhances flexibility in a person.
