Introduction

In getting on with the three session practicum, the general initiative was to achieve useful understanding of premarital and matrimonial therapy. The first meetings place the groundwork and got the couplets known with me as the counselor and vice versa. In the second sitting, the outcomes of the PAIR2 test were viewed which permitted the pair to share accounts. The last session concluded the whole practicum. It offered a speedy look of “where do we set out from here” and what the couples cultured from their practice.

Synopsis of Session One

The first sitting held on September 3, 2012 at 9:00 p.m. at the couple's residence. This pair, Tom and Jane, was come across all the way through my event management business. I told them before that I am also a proficient counseling major in a master's degree, acquiring a premarital and matrimonial counseling program of study and would be found to have then arranged to some counseling sittings, they agreed to it. Initially, we started with our backgrounds conceding the event management business and premarital sittings. Afterward, Tom introduced me to Jane. We discussed concerning their upcoming event plans, but I promptly changed setting into more like the counseling sittings.

N ext, I offered them with the up to date approval paper. I notified the pair that I was a graduate counseling apprentice at Institution of Higher Education and that I was conducting these three sittings as a prerequisite for my premarital and matrimonial counseling course. I made it apparent that their individualities would be kept confidential. After that, I made clear regarding the gains and perils that may take place at some stage in or subsequent to the sittings. They both appeared very friendly to the counseling sittings, and were hopeful that this would help their affiliation, more often than not optimistically than unenthusiastically. I informed them concerning the intentional character of the therapy and taking part participates in the PAIR 2 testing. I guaranteed them that, if they determined to carry on or not, it would not have an effect on their relation with me or with the academy. In summing up, I told them if they had any issues all the way in the sittings, they should feel open to get in touch with me. This pair implicit and approved to the approval form.

This pair was attention-grabbing as a practicum task. At first, they seem as a charming couple working on their life jointly. This was a youthful pair that was in their early 20s. They both go to academy; he was about to graduate in Business Management. They both started by discussing concerning how they meet their wedding arrangements. But afterward, I inquired how they felt on the subject of the sitting; what are the opportunities and what the issues in the relationship are.
