Probation Sanctions

The probation sanctions are sentence which are enforced on the convicted people allows them staying within the community and not sent to prison, under supervision of the probation officer. The term probation derived from the Latin term probare, which means “to prove.” Since, the probation can be considered as a conditional release of the convicted person in the community, during the probation period a person's character is tested for certain abilities to meet requirements (Kramer & Ulmer, 2009).
