Lectures and seminars can have a vital role in individual course and, consequently, attendance to these is extremely important. Lectures provide a forum in which I can present with basic or introductory knowledge, and current debates and issues that act as a springboard for my studying; seminars allow individual to explore knowledge further, clarify any issues that arise, and develop other learning and study skills.
A lecture may provide opportunities to hear how the language of the subject is used, clarify technical terms, summarize essential facts and prompt individual to research further. And taking an active approach throw thinking, asking questions, summarizing the things that are being discussed, and generally getting enthused about the subject, and understand the material.
A seminar usually refers to a group meeting of students and a tutor in whom everyone takes a turn to present and discuss information on a topic. these opportunities is provide me to gain confidence in speaking and communication about my subjects, to develop my abilities to make the meaning clear, to argue logically and tactfully, to listen to different points of view, to question, to make considered criticisms and comments, and to express opinions and state the evidence upon which they are based.
Conference
The opportunity of attended an exciting conference of sports science and sport medicine on last year, between the demands of research work, and family obligations, it was useful to set deadlines for myself, and a conference provides an excellent way to do this. It helped me to integrate with the academic community, to meet people who are interested in the same topic of research and discuss theoretical and methodological ideas.
