Abstract

The objective of this essay is to discuss the Online Communication or Computer Mediated Communication (CMC). Online Communication or Computer-mediated communication (CMC) refers to the use of computers and computer networks for the transfer, retrieval and exchange of information between human beings, both anonymous and structured. The specific communication applications are often divided into two main groups: synchronous or asynchronous communication. Electronic communications are fast, targeted and potential wide-scale dissemination. Electronic communications are essential not only for the active foreign and internal workings of the organization. Introduction

Communication can be referred to as an exchange of a person's feelings, ideas and information; this can be in any form such as verbal, written, signs or even body language. For any organization to function efficiently, communication is very important. It not only develops a rapport between employees but also a level of trust is established. This helps the employees to have a unified goal and helps them work together in order to achieve those goals. When information is exchanged within an organization it is called workplace communication. It is the sharing of information between people to reach a common ground of understanding (Brown, 2009).

With the development in recent years, modern information systems and international communication appears feasible to move away from the traditional paper-based as the main storage medium, which reflects all the stages of the implementation of a commercial transaction. In modern conditions, the promotion of greater access to international e-commerce are increasingly moving into the category of priority on the agenda of a number of influential economic and trade organizations, as well as in the decisions of government agencies in many developed and developing countries.

Electronic communications are fast, targeted and potential wide-scale dissemination. Electronic communications are essential not only for the active foreign and internal workings of the organization. E-business is the business area of the company, which is based on the use of advanced information technologies, including electronic document management, electronic payment systems, electronic communications (internal and external), e-commerce and mobile communications (Alfred, 2006).

Companies across the globe have long been applied in practice of creation of "virtual" teams of engineers, marketers, financiers of different units that develop different projects without meeting each other.
