Profitable Pollution Reduction

Introduction

In the context of the contemporary global business environment the subject of pollution has become a highly contentious and significant factor. In the traditional perspective the majority of the organizations only looked at their organizational goals and the manufacturing objectives, which led to highly biased and negative outcomes. The wastes and the pollution output that was being produced by the majority of the global organizations were carelessly dumped in various environmental sources, leading to adversary impacts on the ecosystem, and various environmental stakeholders. The primary reason why such negative and malignant activities taken by the traditional organizations were not adequately dealt by the regulatory and environmental authorities was that the scale of the impact of the organization was relatively low. The process of globalization caused the organizational sector to experience a dynamic period of growth where its manufacturing c capabilities enhanced exponentially (Konar & Cohen, 2001). Such a high level of growth also led to the increase in the waste output to these relevant organizations, and the consequential negative impact on the environment.

It is only through the various recent and advanced researches that the global society was able to clearly analyze the impact of the pollution caused by the organizational sector on the overall environment. It is due to this reason that in the contemporary global environment issues such as global warming, carbon footprints, destruction of eco systems, extinction of rare species of animals and even harmful impacts ion human societies have begun to increase. With the clear and abundant evidence provided by the vast researches and the scientific studies the relevant regulation authorities which are present in various countries started to implement strict regulations and policies for the organizational sector, so that the harmful impacts on the environment can be curbed and the organizations enhance their stakeholder perspective. In the recent past the organizations had a very limited stakeholder perspective, where they only focused on the primary stakeholder, and the various indirect stakeholders were completely ignored. This situation led to the highly negative and non environment friendly poli9cies and initiatives taken by the global business sector. The global society has played a crucial role in the development of stricter and more responsible policies by the global regulatory authorities to ensure that the business sector adequately implements environment friendly activities, and reduces the pollution output.

Hence it is crucial for the organizations themselves to realize their responsibility to the environmental stakeholders, and establish a positive green culture within the network; otherwise the issue of pollution will not be adequately resolves. In the current business environment the majority of the managers still believe that the initiative taken by the company to reduce its carbon footprint and waste output would ...
