The study will be concluded in the fifth chapter. The implications of research, and recommendations for further research will be presented in the fifth chapter.

Background of the Research

Visual effects involve diverse processes that are used to create or manipulate the imagery exterior to the context of a live movie (Sifakis, Garcia, and Tziritas, 2000, pp. 13). These types of effects are created through Computer Generated Imagery (CGI) (Wright, 2011, pp. 3). Visual effects have now become an essential component of storytelling and video communication. They are used in a number of television programs, films, commercials, music videos, dancing videos, sport broadcast, and others. Visual effects or VFX make up visual vocabulary that is used by script or storywriters and producers in order to create realism and emotion. With the passage of time, the role of visual effects is getting more critical than others (Walczak & Cellary, 1999, pp. 335).

In this age of digital media, the use of special effects is common in different forms of media. The use of visual effects can be witnessed in different forms of performing art including boxing, martial art, wrestling, and others.
