Pros of Animal Testing

Introduction

The world in which we live today is moving at a rapid pace and the only thing that is constant is change. In order to deal with this change, owners and managers are adopting latest technology and methodologies. This increased usage of technology increases the threat of harmful effects on well being of human, animals as well as on environment. As a result of this organizations are practicing various techniques so that they can provide safe and beneficial products to the customers. One such method is of animal testing. Discussion

The terms animal testing, animal research, or animal experiment are the concepts applied only to experiments involving the dissection of live animals. These terms are used when animals are considered as models for understanding the physiology of humans and especially to try to predict what happens in human. Animal testing is a controversial practice. Some people think that we do such experiments and harm animals without bringing any benefit either for them or for humans. In fact, the scientific examination of the question animal experimentation enables us to predict what happens in humans does not give the same answer by area. This animal testing sometimes is useful, sometimes useless. Benefits for Animals Themselves

There is no doubt that as a result of animal testing the lives of human beings are saved as animal testing facilitate development and production of various new medicines and procedures. Moreover, there are also a number of advantages that animal testing produces for animals themselves. For example, whenever any vaccine or product is tested on an animal, the reaction or side effects of the ingredients used in that product can be gauged and observed these findings in turn can be utilized in the production of medication for pets and other animals. For instance, there is a medicine for the prevention of Heartworm, which is used to save the lives of millions of dogs all over the globe. This medicine is also the result of the animal testing. So, this shows that it is not only the humans that get the benefits from the animal testing however; this is also beneficial for the animals and their well being.
