Prostitution

Abstract

Prostitution is a serious social problem. Its size and the importance of social cohesion have been noticed in the course of making a political transformation in Poland after 1998. Previously, this phenomenon is not aroused particular interest to the scientific community, and it was deliberately hidden by the authorities there. Prostitution is generally regarded as one of the manifestations of social pathology. The main criteria for classification as a category of deviant behavior are those of crime and abuse of alcohol and drugs. This phenomenon is conditioned by a variety of factors social, economic, cultural and physiological. Today, prostitution is perceived in many aspects social, psychological and medical. In various publications, we find similar definitions of the phenomenon, more or less detailed, to help us understand the social pathology. The following paper will address the issue of prostitution in the modern day society keeping in mind the historical development of the issue.

Introduction

There is no uniform definition of the phenomenon of prostitution. Frequently as prostitutes are a person permanently or casual to meet the needs of casual sexual partners in exchange for an economic benefit (money, valuables such as gifts) without emotional involvement and virtually no choice of partners. Prostitution is negative social phenomenon, consisting of practicing prostitution for profit. Prostitution is closely related to the spread of venereal disease and crime. Fighting them is a very difficult social issue. The Penal Code provides for criminal liability for incitement to prostitution, as well as indirect reap profit from it. Prostitution can further be regarded as sexual perversion, abnormal sexual desire or satisfaction of the incorrect orientation. Background most cases of sexual perversion are functional sexual disorders acquired during adolescence, especially during puberty, leading to a false development libido. Deviations deals with the treatment of psychiatry. Legal regulation covers only those sexual perversions that violate legal norms (Farley & Barkan, 1995). God forbids contact with prostitutes. In Bible, it is referred that the lips dripping with honey foreign woman and her mouth like light oil. However, in the end they become bitterer than wormwood and cut like a sword with a double edge. Her feet lead to the land of the dead to the underworld lead her steps. Loses an equal way of life and did not even see that going astray.
