It is not an easy task to define the mental health without considering the aspects of society. It is understood that, a person is considered as mentally fit when, he or she is able to deal with the societal aspects and, follow certain trends of the society as other individuals are doing. When any individuals fail to identify the aspects of the environment then, he is not considered as the mentally fit. The definition cannot be fit in each individual case who are disable and, not mentally fit. Psychiatric nurses are bound to diagnose changes in such individuals and, prevent social changes. Mental illness can also be considered when; there is the change in the tradition of one culture to the other culture.

Diagnoses for the particular case of Ms. Kreiter

Ms. Kreiter is not able to remember small things and, important appointments because of the old age. When individual getting old he is losing his memory gradually. Mrs. Kreiter had also the incident of losing her daughter and, she was mentally disturbed and, taking high doze medicines. Taking of such high doze medicines may affect her mental power and, her memory is getting weak day by day. The criteria may be chosen for her diagnose in three processes such as:

Bizarre Behavior

Abnormal Experience

Loss of reality contact

Bizarre behavior may be the reason for behaving such acts and, losing mental power.

Loss of reality contact may not be the reason for not remembering appointments and other important things.

The major cause of such behavior is the abnormal experience and, it may disturb the memory of the person.

Interventions
