Rainer Maria Rilke

Introduction

For this paper, we shall be covering Rilke's poems “The Panther” and “The Swan”. Although the connotations and the representations that have been intended, it becomes evident that not only has Rilke associated a man with the animal kingdom, but has also narrated the close-knit connections and establishment that have come with it. Understanding the subliminal, underlying meaning of the poems written by Rilke is of prime and pivotal importance in order to understand how does a human being relate to what is mentioned in the poem.
