Hinduism

1. The West lays immense emphasis on the appearance of the Hindus that is quite colorful. Hindus regardless of any place celebrate their culture and religious days everywhere. This helps them to communicate their religious values to the rest of the world. Their commercial TV channels as well comprehensively portray their culture widely. The people in the west get mesmerized with the colorful dresses they wear, their jewelry and most prominently their way of greeting, that is, 'namasty'. The three concepts that are profoundly present in the mind of the western people are their colorful dresses, their religious day's celebration and their spot on the forehead as a symbol of being married. According to Coomaraswamy (2011), the culture is certainly rich and gorgeous that it bears one of the strongest impressions among the western people. Hindus invite people of other religion on their special days and make them enjoy the events. There is another prominent event in the lives of married Hindus women in which they fast for sake of praying for long life of their husbands. They see the moon in the evening and then eat. However, there is one negative impression about the life of women that they are miserable creatures and cannot make decisions on their own. The old tradition of 'sati' is still somewhere in the mind of the people. However, the presence of a variety of gods and goddesses also attract the people in west. It is more like Greek religion with numerous god and goddesses with their distinguishing responsibilities.

2. Three Dieties

Krishna

He is the great supporter of the Gita and the ninth comprehensive avatar of Vishnu (the Godhead in trinity). He has blue skin that influences the blue color in the Hindu culture. He liked dance and music and much of the literature, painting and sculpture have come from him. He fought many fights against evils in the society and saved the people from Satan.

Rama

He holds the highest prominence among all other deities, as ideal husband, son, king and defender. The villain, Ravan abducted his wife and challenged his kingdom. He fought a great fight with him and brought Sita back to the people. He was famous for establishing peace and justice in his kingdom. People worshipped him as the biggest Avatar.

Durga

Evil Mahishasura showed penance to Shiva and in turn He bestowed him with ability that no man or go could kill him but a woman. He became extremely bothersome for the state but no one could kill him. The god trinity (Brahma, Shiva and Vishnu) created Durga to defeat him. They gave her weapons and several hands to fight the evil. She chopped his head off that scattered his army and finally the people got relief.
